Enthusiasm is growing
for the first ever Nationwide Open House
Weekend April 10 - 11. Many REALTORS®
from up and down the Grand Strand are signing
up to participate in this event.
It is not too late for your office to participate
as well. All you have to do is send us a list
of the homes that will be open and the times that
you will be there. CCAR will post a list of the
homes on our website and direct the public to it
through advertising and promotion. The homes
will also be listed in the
Coastal Carolina Real Estate Weekly.
CCAR will also be providing balloons
(uninflated) for you to decorate your
homes that weekend to help guide
buyers to your Open House. We hope
to have media coverage on that weekend to
highlight this exciting event.

Support Homes for Heroes
The Palmetto Heroes Program
is available to teachers, law
enforcement officers, firefighters and
EMS personnel who are currently
certified in their profession, and reside
and work in South Carolina or have a
contract to begin working here within
60 days of closing on a home.
Eligible Palmetto Heroes
home buyers can get a 5.125%
interest rate through SC State Housing's
First-time Home Buyer Program
as well as the down payment
assistance loan of up to $7,000
which could even be forgivable over time,
depending on the borrower's income.
In addition, we are pleased to
announce that REALTORS®
across the state, will also be
contributing $250.00 in closing
costs to the home buyer.
